our a-frame play tents

Our A-Frames are handmade right here in the UK, on site by our own skilled creative staff. We use untreated PEFC / FSC and UKCA / CE compliant hardwood timber to ensure there are no nasty chemicals. Our A-Frames are sold complete with a cover of your choice. We have 150 covers to choose from! We do sell spare covers should you need different colours or more covers in general.

Our A-Frames are manufactured to a commercial grade to withstand the rigours of hiring them out and constantly transporting them backwards and forwards between venues. Unlike other manufacturers, we use much thicker solid hardwood timber measuring 46mm x 32mm for our A-Frame legs to give it both strength and stability, a requirement of the Toy (Safety) Regulations UK 2011. Our chunky solid pine 25mm diameter poles are recessed into the upright legs and secured with barrel nuts. These make very strong joints all around the frame but also means you can adjust the width of your frame wider/narrower to fit your mattresses perfectly or find you have a smaller space to set up in than you anticipated!  Once the top two joints are tightened using the allen key we provide, your tent will be secure and not fall down flat during normal intended play we encounter at sleepover parties when suitably supervised.  

Add to this the fact you can fold your play tents up for transportation or storage without having to disassemble them.

We were the first ever company to design and manufacture a slimline tent, recognising that not all customers had access to a van or the budget to buy one!  They couldn't fit their fully assembled Starter or Standard A-Frames into a medium size car. So we responded and now offer the Slimline range  across all the A-Frames. We also sell the slimline conversion kit to convert your existing A-Frames which are 115cm wide to a more manageable 91cms wide. The kit's contain 3 new poles and a new slimline cover. We offer a choice of 87 plain cotton covers, 14 colours of lace and now 49 fabulous chiffon colours all of which are machine washable to keep them super clean. Our covers and tent components  are  tested by our lab Bureau Veritas UK for flammability and chemical migration as required by the Toy Safety Regulations 2011 and EN71 EC 48 2009 which allows us to sell our play tents in Europe.

The Starter  -  Standing at 110cms high the Starter is exactly the same as The Standard minus the little criss cross at the top. Popular with customers who may have smaller than average transport and need that little bit more room to fit the frame in their vehicle. The frame will easily accommodate children up to the age of 12 years (subject to the odd taller one!) They will accommodate a mattress no wider than 70cms width and no more than 15cms deep. The Standard - Standing at 120cm high, The Standard is our most popular A-Frame to start your business with. The frame will easily accommodate children up to the age of 12 years (subject to the odd taller one!) They will accommodate a mattress no wider than 70cms width and no more than 15cms deep. The Majestic - Standing at 140cm high, The Majestic is one of our most versatile tents! This is your ideal tent if you want to start a business and include older children or adults as sleepover clients. There is plenty of head height for grown ups to sit up and you can comfortably fit in a mattress up to 75cms width, 20cm deep. Also available in the slimline version. £148 each (spare covers £50.40 each)

The Best Friend - Standing at 160cm high. The Best Friend tent is one of our most popular tents as you can pop a double mattress inside up to 140cms wide and two friends can sleep under canvas. Also available in the slimline version. £154 each (spare covers £56.40 each)

The Mini - At 50cm high, we couldn't resist adding this little gem to our range for teddy bear picnics or a bit of Elf naughtiness at Christmas! The frame is made from a more slender softwood timber. £47.99 each (spare covers £18 each)

Our wigwams are designed and manufactured by us here in the UK, on site by our own creative staff. We manufacture both 4 and 5 pole wigwams. They are designed and made to withstand the transporting and energetic play associated with sleepover parties. Ness , our founder ran a sleepover business and knows from first hand experience the damage which can occur such as broken poles or torn canopies. Each one is unique and they are not cheaper versions mass produced on a different continent. 

An increasing amount of our customers prefer our wigwams as they are easy to transport and set up on site. There is also now a trend to mix and match them with our A-Frames or large decorative frames. The added bonus is that they can fit in the tallest of children or largest of adults. 

Our single wigwams fit a single mattress in up to 110cm wide and our double fits in two single mattresses or a double up to 140cm wide, perfect for best friend / sibling sleepovers or couples nights❤️

In addition to sleepovers, all our double wigwams are beautiful statement pieces at weddings, picnics, and afternoon tea events. When open, our wigwams reduce to just 206cm in height so they will fit inside most rooms. At 235cm long when closed, you can slide a double wigwam fully assembled into a medium size car.

We only use full length 25mm diameter pine poles with no nasty plastic joints which break. We use 8 ply double core marine cord to secure the poles plus glued on, rubber feet which stop the wigwam moving on smooth floors.

Add to this, fully machine washable, luxurious, hard wearing fabrics, then you know you are buying a top quality product. Our top quality plain Panama fabric comes in 8 colours and  is made from 100% cotton, soft to the touch but super tough due to its medium weight credentials. It's a pleasure to machine wash and iron.

Our stunning lace comes in a choice of 14 colours and is 100% easy care polyester, having a luxurious weight and 3 dimensional weave. Its robust while remaining elegant. It also machine washable and does not crease - heaven!

You can choose to have your wigwam in all over lace, all over plain panama, or our most beautiful and popular, panama with lace curtains.

Our covers and tent components  are  tested by our lab Bureau Veritas UK for flammability and chemical migration as required by the Toy Safety Regulations 2011 and EN71 EC/48/2009 which allows us to sell our play tents in Europe. Your wigwam is finished with UKCA / CE marks on both the poles and canopy so they are fully traceable back to us here, in the UK.

Our elegant  Empress and Princess giant A-Frames are designed as a decorative statement piece frame with an open canopy ideal for weddings and picnics. They make a fantastic photographic backdrop.

They are available in 14 different lace covers. It is exactly the same lace we use for our children's A-Frames and Wigwams and therefore has been tested for flammability and chemical migration under EN71 EC/ 48/ 2009.

The frames are constructed from untreated beech hardwood and comes with their own cotton storage bags with carry handles

The Empress - When open, the Empress stands about 200cm H x 235cm W x 150cm D. Assembly will require two people. £358.80 each inc vat (excludes postage of £22 to the UK mainland)

The Princess - When open, the Princess stands about 165cm H x 180cm W x 150cm D and can be assembled by one person. £250 each inc vat
