She studied for her BA in Fashion Design specialising in leather and chiffon. She went on to become a finalist in the Wedding Buyers Awards in the category of Best Student Designer and won a work placement in a highly regarded wedding dress company.
Gem came to us from a career in the wedding dress industry where she made quite complex alterations to wedding dresses.
She creates our tents in house on our state of art industrial flat bed and 5 thread overlocking machines.
Being in house, Ness is able to brief Gem relating to new orders, new developments and quality issues which may need addressing.
She is also amazing at crochet and crafting, making toys and decorative items which she sells in her own Etsy shop. Gem understands toy safety and compliance marking which she has to apply to her own makes. She lives with her partner and counts cake baking and decorating amongst her hobbies .....this clinched her the job!
